INOCAS, a company that uses pasturelands to plant macaúba palm trees as part of silvopastoral systems in partnership with farmers, excelled in the 2022 Brazilian SDG Strategy Awards, coming first in the Private Sector category.
This awards scheme celebrates practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which are promoting positive changes in the world, fostering transformational initiatives in line with local circumstances.
The awards are also designed to contribute to the formation of a Database of Successful Practices, which will serve as examples for the implementation and dissemination of the United Nation’s Agenda 2030, besides encouraging different sections of society to engage in promoting measures to drive Agenda 2030 forward in the social, environmental, economic and institutional spheres.
