Fundo Vale and KPTL are now classified within the group of “Top Investors” on the World Economic Forum’s UpLink platform. This initiative aims to promote open innovation globally to accelerate solutions to the most pressing global challenges, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The partnership between KPTL and Fundo Vale is a strategic collaboration created to foster ventures with positive social and environmental impacts. This alliance resulted in the creation of the Forest and Climate Fund, which will invest R$200 million by 2027 in startups that develop businesses and technologies capable of scaling up forest restoration projects and increasing efficiency in the certification of carbon credits. Fundo Vale’s role in the partnership is to co-structure the fund, support impact measurement and evaluation, analyze identified companies and make connections with actors in the impact ecosystem.

This is the second time that Fundo Vale has been recognized on a World Economic Forum platform. It recently joined the 1 Trillion Trees initiative (1t.org), which aims to mobilize the global community to conserve, restore and cultivate 1 trillion trees by 2030. It was included because of Fundo Vale’s role in Vale’s 2030 Forest Goal, which seeks to protect and restore 500,000 hectares of habitat in Brazil.
