On July 3, Fundo Vale and Climate Ventures held the first edition of Green Wave Talks, a space dedicated to promoting discussion about innovation and the transition to a regenerative, low-carbon economy. The event, titled “Technology, Innovation and Climate Impact Businesses,” brought together experts, entrepreneurs and investors at Cubo Itaú to explore trends and opportunities in the technology market focused on social and environmental impact.

There was a panel discussion featuring Amanda Magalhães, project manager at Climate Ventures; Rogério Cavalcante, founder and executive director of umgrauemeio; Marina Belintani, co-founder and R&D director of MABE Bio; and Leandro Macedo, co-founder of Ampfox. The opening remarks were made by Pedro Correia, project analyst at Climate Ventures; and Giovana Serenato, head of Fundo Vale’s Innovation Area.

“It was a chat with important content for the startups that were present. The guests shared their experiences in the technology and social and environmental impact market, discussed opportunities and challenges for climate impact solutions, addressed fundraising strategies and offered valuable tips for future entrepreneurs in this emerging field,” says Serenato.

During the event, Boletim Amazônia was presented, a quarterly news bulletin produced and curated by Catavento and distributed by Fundo Vale. The aim is to provide Vale and the companies in the Cubo Itaú ecosystem with a series of external studies and analyses on topics associated with social and environmental impact in the Amazon.

The Green Wave Talks will take place monthly, providing a regular forum to discuss the development of a greener and more inclusive economy through innovation.
