May 15 was the deadline for entries to this year’s edition of Climate Launchpad, the world’s biggest competition that locates and leverages green businesses. In Brazil, the initiative is coordinated by Climate Ventures and supported by Fundo Vale. The objective of the competition is to unlock the potential of clean technologies around the world that address climate change.
The winning projects will receive a cash prize (R$10,000 divided between the top three contenders in Brazil and 17,500 euros split between the top three finalists in the global stage). They will also take part in training, including business development, mentoring sessions and investor pitches.
