Naturaltech 2024 brought together brands from the Amazon Rainforest and Cerrado Savanna biomes
From June 12 to 15, Anhembi, a small rural town in São Paulo State, hosted two trade shows – Bio Brazil Fair / Biofach Latin America and Naturaltech – constituting the largest event for showcasing natural, organic and healthy products in Latin America. Over the course of four days, around 57,000 visitors and 760 exhibitors attended this event, which was an important opportunity for business deals, networking and exchanging information and experiences for storeowners, health professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and producers.
This year, the importance of socio-bioeconomy products was highlighted at the booth run by Amazon at Home, Intact Forest, a program coordinated by Climate Ventures, Idesam and AMAZ, with support from Fundo Vale. The space was a joint venture between Sebrae Manaus, Conexsus and WWF-Brasil, and it featured more than 60 products from the Amazon Rainforest and Cerrado Savanna biomes, giving the public the opportunity to get to know their flavors and aromas, as well as the rich culture of the people who work to conserve them.
The booth featured 30 impact businesses that use inputs from the Amazon and a further 13 brands representing the Cerrado. More than R$50,000 was raised by these enterprises. This was the first activity undertaken by this consortium, which is strengthening community-based businesses and products that contribute to environmental conservation while generating income for traditional populations.
